Biopolymers group
Activities
We study the nanoscale chemical and physical properties of biopolymers. In particular, we focus on the adhesive properties of bacteria and biofilms on metallic surfaces, aiming to find technological solutions to microbially induced corrosion.
Our methodologies include electrochemistry of conductive polymers, atomic force microscopy, force spectroscopy and nano-indentation.
