Cibion’s members went to Annual Meeting of Argentine Society of Biophysic (SAB)

Scientists of the Centre for Research in Bio Nanosciences (CIBION) attended the Annual Meeting of the Argentine Society of Biophysic (SAB).

Scientists of the Centre for Research in Bio Nanosciences (CIBION) attended the Annual Meeting of the Argentine Society of Biophysic (SAB). The event took place in Rosario, Argentina, from 16th November to 18th November, and a panel of specialists made lectures about the latest news in the field.

One of the speakers was Dr. Fernando Stefani, CIBION’s director, who spoke about super-resolution techniques that are being developed in his research group (applied nanophysics), with special emphasis on RASTMIN.

In addition, Santiago Sosa, a member of the aforementioned CIBION research group, gave a conference whose title was: “Determination of the relative orientation of a fluorophore with respect to a protein structure used in nanoscopies”.

Furthermore, Gonzalo Escalante, from applied nanophysics group, and Luis Marcano García, a researcher of fluorescent probes group, showed posters with information about their latest research.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Annual Meeting of Biophysics Argentine Society took place in Complejo Cultural Parque de España, Rosario. The event was organized taking into account gender equity. Because of that, the organizing committee was made up by three men and three women, and it was chaired by Dr. Leticia Llarrull.
